ISMARA client

ISMARA Client (Integrated System for Motif Activity Response Analysis client) is a software tool that addresses the challenges of analyzing large next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets. The tool automatically infers key regulators and regulatory interactions from high-throughput gene expression or chromatin state data. However, given the large sizes of current NGS datasets, data uploading times can be a major bottleneck in the analysis process. Additionally, for proprietary data, users may be uncomfortable uploading entire raw datasets to an external server.

To overcome these challenges, the ISMARA team developed a stand-alone client application that allows users to pre-process their raw data locally. This pre-processing step reduces file sizes by up to a factor of 1000, and upload times from many hours to mere seconds, making the analysis of large datasets much more efficient. The client application performs ISMARA analysis in a completely automated manner, including uploading of small processed summary files to the ISMARA server.

The ISMARA Client tool is especially useful for researchers working with large next-generation sequencing datasets and those working with proprietary data which are uncomfortable uploading entire raw datasets to an external server. By allowing users to pre-process their raw data locally and transfer only a small summary file to the ISMARA server, the ISMARA Client simplifies the analysis process and reduces the time required for data uploading and analysis.
